Cant install macromedia flash player on safari(failed or cancelled)?

Hmm.. i have a mac book and i was working on a project for my class and needed this flash player. I'm not sure about the installation process but if you have a newer mac, it's probably on there already. This is how i made it work.. go to the finder and than apps. than click on safari and than more info. A box pops up and under general check the box that says ';open using rosetta'; quit safari and than try to use the flash player. This worked for me, i hope this helps.
